URBANA – An Urbana nursing home is closing today, and its patients have been moved to other facilities.
Helia Healthcare of Urbana, 907 N. Lincoln Ave., is "unable to correct deficiencies" and lost its Medicare/Medicaid funding status, according to Melanie Arnold, spokeswoman for the Illinois Public Health Department.
Information given to public health officials was that the nursing home would be closed by today, she said.
