DANVILLE – South View Middle School students met and exceeded state learning standards in reading last year, according to preliminary Illinois Standards Achievement Test data released by Danville schools officials on Monday.
Overall, 75.7 percent of students met benchmarks in 2009, compared with 70.8 percent in 2008, Associate Superintendent Mark Denman said. He added that 71.5 percent of black students met benchmarks in 2009, compared with 62.5 percent the year before.
