URBANA – University of Illinois police are seeking help identifying a man who is a suspect in the theft of art signs on the UI campus.
UI police report that two pieces of sign-like artwork were stolen from in front of the Native American Studies building, 1206 W. Nevada Ave., U, between 5 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The full story is available in our paid story archive.
I would like to note that although the materials used to create the artwork only cost around $150, the art assessor valued the pieces at $10,000 dollars each.
To say they are only worth $150 dollars is to say that a Picasso sketch is worth 20 cents.

I watched the video clip of the alleged "suspect". It looks like a video of someone strolling down the sidewalk. The person doesn't even look at the sign.
