Sewer lining work will affect several Urbana streets

URBANA — Several streets in Urbana will be affected during the month of September while a contractor does sewer lining work at various locations around the city.

According to a written release from the Urbana Public Works Department, residents will be notified by way of a door hanger brochure if the sanitary sewer that serves their home is being lined.

One or more lanes of a street may be closed at the lining locations to accommodate the contractor's equipment and set-up at various times between Sept. 6 and Sept. 27.

The lining work will generally be completed within one day at affected locations.

Affected streets will include:

— Anderson Street from Mumford Drive to Brighton Drive.

— Beardsley Avenue from Romine Street to Goodwin Avenue.

— Briarcliff Drive from Cottage Grove Avenue to Philo Road.

— Cottage Grove Avenue from Michigan Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue.

— Cottage Grove Avenue from Mitchem Drive to Mumford Drive.

— Curtiss Drive from Florida Avenue to Vermont Avenue.

— Florida Avenue from Anderson Street to Grove Street.

— Laurel Drive from Philo Road to Michigan Avenue.

— Maple Street from University Avenue to Main Street.

— Matthews Avenue from Beardsley Avenue to Bradley Avenue.

— Michigan Avenue from Cottage Grove Avenue to Philo Road.

— Mumford Drive from Cottage Grove to Fletcher Street.

— Mumford Drive from Anderson Street to Lynn Street.

— Oregon Street from McCullough Street to Cedar Street.

— Penn Court.

— Pennsylvania Avenue from Wiley Drive to Philo Road.

— Poplar Street from Main Street to Green Street.

— Rainbow Court.

— Rainbow View from Weaver Street to Hunter Street.

— Romine Street from Beardsley Avenue to Bradley Avenue.

— Rutledge Drive from Florida Avenue to Vermont Avenue.

— Silver Street from Anderson Street to Silver Court East.

— Silver Court East.

— Springfield Avenue from Goodwin Avenue to Matthews Avenue.
