Work will restrict two streets

Traffic will be restricted on two major streets in Champaign-Urbana starting Monday.

In Urbana, traffic on part of Vine Street will be reduced for three days for a water main repair.

The outside northbound lane of Vine Street will be closed from Main Street to the Schnuck's supermarket entrance from Monday through 5 p.m. Wednesday while Illinois American Water repairs a water main.

In Champaign, traffic will be reduced on Green Street in campustown for the installation of a sign.

The west lane of Green Street will be closed between Wright and Sixth streets on Monday while a sign is installed at Sliders, 606 E. Green St., C.

Westbound traffic will be diverted to the center lane. Two-way traffic will be maintained for the duration of the work.
