Sewer work to close portion of Webber

URBANA — A portion of Webber Street in Urbana will be closed for three days for sewer repair work.

Webber Street will be closed between Oregon Street and Washington Street beginning at 7 a.m. Monday while the city of Urbana makes sanitary sewer repairs.

Residents in the affected area of Webber Street will have access to their properties during the project.

The street is scheduled to re-open at 5 p.m. Nov. 30, weather permitting.

In unrelated work:

As part of the Urbana-Champaign Sanitary District's annual maintenance work, the district's contractor will clean and televise a sanitary sewer interceptor that runs north along Vine Street and Urbana Avenue beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and ending on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Traffic will be affected on the following streets during the cleaning and lining work:

— Vine Street from Fairlawn Drive to Oregon Street.

— Oregon Street from Vine Street to Urbana Avenue.

— Urbana Avenue from Oregon Street to Main Street.

— Main Street at its intersection with Urbana Avenue.

One lane of these streets may be closed to accommodate the contractor's equipment.
