Sewer work set for Urbana streets
URBANA — A contractor for the Urbana-Champaign Sanitary District will perform lining of an 18-inch sanitary interceptor that runs north along Urbana Avenue this week.
Insituform will line Urbana Avenue from Illinois to Main streets starting Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and ending Thursday at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Insituform will also be lining along Oregon from Vine to Urbana Avenue. That work will start Friday at 8:30 a.m. and be done by 5 p.m. that day weather permitting. The work will cause a small portion of Oregon Street to be closed from the intersection of Walnut Street to Vine Street.
One or more lanes of a street may be closed at these locations:
— Oregon Street from Walnut to Urbana Avenue.
— Urbana Avenue from Illinois to Main.
— Main Street at its intersection with Urbana Avenue.
