Food pantry in Ford County changes name, trims service area

PAXTON – The Ford County Food Pantry will remain open but will be reducing its service area and changing its name following a recent decision by a Paxton church to stop sponsoring and insuring the organization.

Effective Feb. 1, the pantry will be renamed the PBL Community Area Food Pantry and will serve only the areas of Paxton, Buckley and Loda, announced the food pantry board of directors in a press release Thursday.
