Road work scheduled in southwest Champaign neighborhood

CHAMPAIGN — Construction work in the Green Meadow neighborhood bounded by Mattis Avenue, Crescent Drive, Kirby Avenue, and Sangamon Drive will begin Thursday.
This project will also include Sangamon Drive from Kenwood Road to Mattis Avenue. Open Road Paving is the city of Champaign’s contractor for this project. Residents should expect minimal disruption associated with this milling and paving work. Work is scheduled to take about two weeks.
Residents should not park in the street during work hours when the "No Parking" signs are posted.
