Jon White victim reaches tentative settlement with Urbana school district

URBANA – Another of the victims of former Urbana school teacher Jon White has reached a tentative settlement with the Urbana school district.

The child will receive $390,000 in present value money, according to the terms of an agreement filed in Champaign County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

Urbana district reaches tentative settlement with White victim

URBANA – One of the victims of former Urbana teacher Jon White has agreed to settle claims against the Urbana school district for $300,000.

Though no civil suit was filed on behalf of the victim – referred to as Jane Doe-1 – the settlement must go through court for approval, because Doe is a minor.

Name of young victim of Jon White will remain undisclosed

URBANA – The name of a child victim of Jon White will remain undisclosed in potential settlement documents involving the girl and her family and the Urbana school district, according to a ruling made Monday by Champaign County Judge Brian McPheters.

White is a former Urbana teacher convicted of 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, including eight in Champaign County, and now serving a 60-year prison sentence.
