C-U MTD likely to get $2.75 million in stimulus money
The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District is likely to get $2.75 million under a preliminary stimulus package award.
MTD's managing director, Bill Volk, said the federal stimulus package requires using half the money within 180 days, and the district will work toward that by buying up to 12 vans to transport disabled people.
