Construction work to close part of Curtis Road through mid-summer

CHAMPAIGN — Area residents can learn more about upcoming construction work and road closure on Curtis Road at an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barkstall Elementary School, 2201 Hallbeck Drive, C.
Curtis Road will be closed to all traffic from Wynstone Drive to Mattis Avenue from March 22 through mid-summer.
Mattis Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Kenny Drive to Curtis Road on Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting while a storm sewer is built across Mattis Avenue.
After the work on Curtis between Wynstone and Mattis is completed, construction will begin on the intersection of Mattis Avenue and Curtis Road.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed by November.
