Parts of Hill and Lynn streets in Champaign to be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday

CHAMPAIGN Parts of West Hill Street and North Lynn Street will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday for storm sewer work.

West Hill Street between Lynn Street and Prospect Avenue and the 300 and 400 blocks of North Lynn Street will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. to allow the installation of a storm sewer crossing in the intersection of Hill and Lynn streets as well as new storm sewers in the area.

Hill Street is scheduled to reopen during the third week of April, with the intersection of Hill and Lynn streets reopening by the first week of April.

In addition, motorists are urged to use caution at the intersection of Washington and Lynn streets, which was recently reopened for traffic, since the street has a temporary surface at this time.
