Sewer work to close block of Washington Street

CHAMPAIGN — One block of Washington Street in Champaign will be closed beginning Thursday morning for storm sewer work and sanitary sewer work.
Washington Street, including the Washington Street viaduct, will be closed between Market Street and First Street starting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday for the replacement of a broken storm sewer inlet casting and sanitary sewer interceptor cleaning.
The street is scheduled to reopen at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
