More work affecting University Avenue
|
CHAMPAIGN — Traffic on University Avenue in downtown Champaign is being intermittently reduced for fiber-optic work in the area.
One west lane of University Avenue will be intermittently closed between First Street and Wright Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The work began Wednesday.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during the project, but access to all businesses in the area will be maintained.
Parking meters will be bagged along the north side of University Avenue as needed.
The work is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 3.
