Heat advisory issued for Monday and Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for central Illinois from 1 p.m. Monday to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Counties under the advisory include Champaign, Vermillion, Douglas, Coles, Edgar, Moultrie, Piatt, DeWitt, Macon and McLean.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 90s, with a heat index of over 100.  Tuesday is forecast to be the hottest day, with a projected heat index of 105-110.
