Wind advisory for Sunday
|
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a wind advisory for most of Central Illinois for Sunday.
Strong winds are expected from about 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with winds out of the south to southwest at 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph.
Winds this strong are capable of blowing around loose outdoor objects such as lawn furniture and trash cans and will make driving in high-profile vehicles, particularly on east-west roads, difficult.
A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or gusts between 45 and 57 mph are likely.
