Red flag warning issued for Ford and Iroquois counties

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Ford and Iroquois counties until 6 p.m. Friday.

A red flag warning means a combination of high temperatures, low relative humidity, and strong gusty winds are causing or will cause an elevated risk for fires in the area.

Outdoor burning is not recommended in Ford and Iroquois counties while the red flag warning is in effect.
