Freeze Warning and Flood Warning

Freeze Warning and Flood Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for all of East Central Illinois, except Ford and Iroquois Counties.

The warning is in effect from 3am to 7am Saturday morning. Overnight temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20's to around 30 degrees. The low temperatures could cause damage to early season crops and unprotected outdoor plants.

A Flood Warning remains in effect until 8 o-clock Friday night for Champaign, Coles, Douglas, Moultrie, Shelby, and Vermilion Counties.

There are also various flood advisories for several rivers in our listening area.

So be careful on rural roads and around rivers.  Do not drive over a flooded roadway, and bring your outdoor items inside so they do not get washed away.
