Flood advisory for southern Champaign and Piatt counties


The National Weather Service in Lincoln has Issued An
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for:
Southern Champaign county in East Central Illinois
Southern Piatt county in Central Illinois
* Until 5 pm CST.
* At 1245pm CST, National Weather Service Meteorologists Detected
Thunderstorms with Heavy Rainfall Across the Advisory Area. Doppler
Radar Estimated Rainfall Rates Up to 2 Inches Per Hour.
* Runoff from this Excessive Rainfall will Cause Minor Flooding to
Occur, Along Small Streams and near Low Water
Crossings. Some Locations That will Experience Minor Flooding
Include, Champaign, Monticello, Bement, Broadlands, Homer
Ogden, Pesotum, Philo, Savoy, Seymour, Sidney, St. Joseph
Tolono, Urbana and White Heath.
