I am sorry to hear about the passing of such a wonderful man. I have known John since grade school and I can still remember John and his family from way back when. . .
I had no idea that Mr. Sergiovanni had written so many books and had influenced so many worldwide. To me and others, he was John's Dad. I loved the part where it says "His passion for education was only superseded by his love for his family." The last time I saw him was probably at John's wedding. Your home in Devonshire was always a fun place to be with the pool and I believe Mrs Sergiovanni worked at Art Floral? Susan and Steven were always kind and fun. Although I do not speak to John often, I have reconnected with Susan on Facebook. You are in my thoughts and I am sending prayers/warm thoughts your way. It is always sad to hear of a good friend's parent passing away - as a part of our Champaign history passes away as well. John and his family are part of our special Champaign history.
