Funeral services for Harriett J. Dyson, 88, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, Ridgeway, S.C., with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Evan Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Dyson died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. Born Saturday, Jan. 28, 1922, in Gary, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Leroy Wither and Lena Boyer. She was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church and the Golden Hearts. She enjoyed cross stitching and playing solitaire.

She is survived by her son, Frederick Able Dyson Jr. and his wife, Julie Dyson of Tuscola; a daughter, Barbara A. Eastin and her husband, Jon Eastin of Lugoff, S.C.; grandchildren Tracy Eastin (Duane Outen), Jon Eastin Jr. (Teri), Jeremie Eastin (Julie), Joey Eastin and Kevin Dyson; and great-grandchildren Cole, Ariel, Tony, Dalton, Brice, Mackenzie, Savanah, Taylor, Caden, Olivia and Danielle.

She was predeceased by brothers Herb Withers, Leroy Withers, and Louie Withers; and sisters Viola Current, Helen Vance, Francis Watkins, and Hazel Roberts.
