SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Craig L. Cochran, 65, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Urbana, passed from this life on June 14, 2010, in Scottsdale.
Craig was born on Jan. 30, 1945, in Murphysboro, Ill., to Myron L. Cochran and Audrey L. Cochran.
He graduated from Urbana High School in 1963, and from business college in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from January 1966 to December 1967.
He was employed as a computer business systems design manager until his retirement in 2006. He was active in his church, and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, Myron L. Cochran.
Surviving him are his wife, Sheila J. Cochran of Arizona; his mother, Audrey L. Cochran of Urbana; and his sister, Linda Cochran TerHark of Urbana.
He is also survived by his daughter, Dr. Lisa Cochran Higgins of Illinois, and his son, Christopher D. Cochran of Japan, who are children from an earlier marriage; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.
Memorial donations are being accepted at the Urbana Free Library, 218 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801. Craig was a lifelong lover of books and spent many happy hours at this library while growing up.
