Charlene, Marilee and Kevin, let me begin by saying I'm so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. You may or may not remember me, however I stayed at your home for about one year 59 years ago and helped your mother with you, as you were yet small children, and while attending St. Joseph Catholic School. A few years ago while visiting my sister Margaret in Champaign we came to Ivesdale and visited your father at the hardware store. He seemed to remember us even after so many years had passed. This was at the time your mother was very ill so didn't have a chance to see her. Our visit with your father was extremely cordial and I'm so glad we took the time to visit him. I've been in southern California for almost 45 years and have three grown children and six grandchildren of my own and know how precious family is. May God be with you all to ease your suffering in the loss of one special man, your father, who is now with Him and at peace.

I am the daughter of Uncle bernie's sister Leona. I have fond memories of going on the water skis when my 6 siblings and Mom and Dad{Chris Johnson} went to visit. Tho we had not be there recently, I do remember going to the hardware store and being able to get soda out of the machine. Bernie's Mom;my Grandma Alblinger used to have little 7up bottles at the house when we would visit. My Mom wishes she could come down for the funneral but probably will not. If the family sees this, please give my Mom a call to talk. She felt something was wrong when she did not hear from her brother at Christmas. God speed to Bernie and have fun with Aunt Lois! I bet they are having lots of fun with Aunt Sarah and Grandpa and Grandma Alblinger. Sue Johnson Klimacek
