VILLA GROVE – Thelma D. Allen, 80, of Villa Grove died at 4 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 8, 2012) at the Champaign Regional Rehab Center in Savoy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Joines Funeral Home, Illinois Route 130 South, Villa Grove, with the Rev. Darrell Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Villa Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Farmersburg, Ind., a daughter of Jess and Zeleda (Hiatt) Fox. She married Thomas Allen. He died Dec. 27, 2007.

Surviving are one son, Dave Allen of Bloomington; one daughter, Terri Law of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joy Walters of Indianapolis and Jesse Paige of Garland, Texas.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Christian Church of Villa Grove. She worked for many years at the PN Hirsch Company in Villa Grove. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 701 Devonshire Drive, Box C12, Champaign, IL 61820.
