ATWOOD – Mary Moody Harshbarger, 90, formerly of Atwood, died on Oct. 22, 2011, in Florida.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, is handling the local arrangements.
Mary was born June 20, 1921, in McLean County, the daughter of Molly and David Moody.
She received her education in the Ellsworth schools, Illinois State University and Parkland College. She was an elementary school teacher for the Atwood-Hammond school system for 28 years.
She married J. W. (Bill) Harshbarger on July 26, 1942. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1989.
Surviving are one brother, David Moody Jr. of Farmer City; and two sons, Daniel Harshbarger of Memphis, Tenn., and Jeffery Harshbarger (Nancy) of Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandchildren, Erika, Heidi and John William; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Mason.
She was a member of Lake Fork United Church of Christ and an associate member of Kirk at Dunedin.
