DANVILLE – Judy Ann (VanBrunt) Crane, 65, of Danville went to be with the Lord on Monday (July 16, 2012). She was surrounded by family.
Judy was born Feb. 14, 1947, in Lowville, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Irving and Margaret (Thomas) VanBrunt.
Judy enjoyed teaching second grade at Holy Family School and English at the Danville Area Community College. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School for 20 years.
She loved to travel with her family and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a recipient of the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation Award on Feb. 12.
Judy married Daniel B. Crane on June 13, 1970, in Hillsboro. He survives along with two sons, Nathaniel Crane and Joshua Crane, both of Danville; four daughters, Kimberly Crane of Lafayette, Ind., Elizabeth Crane of Arlington, Va., Emily (husband Tom) Makarewicz of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Heidi Crane of Danville; and two granddaughters, Sophia Ellen and Willa Sage Makarewicz.
Visitation will be held at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church on Friday, July 20, from noon (EST) until the service time of 2 p.m. (EST) with Father Ted Pracz of Holy Family Church presiding. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
