FARMER CITY – Donna Colleen Weidner, 61, of LeRoy, formerly of Farmer City, passed away at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 7, 2012) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, with the Rev. Bob Beckman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. Memorials may be made to the Bloomington Special Olympics.
Donna was born Aug. 4, 1951, in Champaign, a daughter of Lyle Franklin and Evelyn Kathryn VanSyckel Weidner.
She is survived by two sisters, Patricia L. Miller of Farmer City and L. Jolene (Ron) Peifer of Waynesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; three brothers, Lyle Franklin Weidner Jr., Edmund Eugene Weidner and Gerald W. Weidner; one sister, Betty J. Peters; and one nephew, Howard Ruble
Donna competed in the Special Olympics and received medals in riding horses, bowling, bocce ball and basketball.
