ARCOLA – Mary Angeline Brown, 92, of Arcola died at 7:04 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at her daughter's residence in Middleton, Wis.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Arcola, with the Rev. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola, with rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.
Mary was born Aug. 26, 1920, near Arcola, the daughter of John and Angeline McTaggart Kelly. She married Gordon O. Brown in Arcola in 1952. He preceded her in death in 1963.
Survivors include her son, John Brown of Arcola; two daughters, Janell (David) Foley of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Margaret (Fred) Buchholz of Middleton, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Adam, Nicholas and Megan Foley, and Gordon, Sharon, Zachairy and Anna Buchholz; and two great-grandchildren.
Mary was a retired teacher. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and her master's degree from the University of Illinois. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Women's Club and Ladies Home Extension.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
