She was born Oct. 18, 1939, in East Bend Township, the daughter of Earl L. and Elsie E. (Spicer) Fink. They preceded her in death.
She married Clem E. Markham on July 28, 1971, at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2005.

Jo was self-employed as a nanny for many families over the years and all loved her dearly. She had a special way with children. She was a member of the Champaign County Home Extension, the Champaign Pen Pals, 4H, and the Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Gibson City.
Her hobbies included collecting Longaberger Baskets, cooking, shopping, day trips, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life. She will be remembered by many for her huge heart, willingness to plan events, trips, and reunions with her friends, and her ability to make a friend wherever she went. Her non-stop energy and love for others will never be forgotten.
Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
