Dear Velma and family,

My sincere condolences. Bill was part of the University of Illinois veterinary medicine family. We appreciated his support of our activities - he was always willing to go the extra mile. And had a good word and smile for everyone.

My condolences to the family. I am sorry to hear of Bills passing and sorry I am not there to see all of you. I always enjoyed talking with Bill and even a few fishing trips as well. He always reminded me of my father. I know he will be missed but his memory will live on forever. I am sitting here now thinking of all those mornings for coffee at Marie's and the fishing trip to southern Illinois and both have put a smile on my face. Rest in peace Bill Manuel....a great friend..
