Eva Mulvaney

CHAMPAIGN – Eva M. Mulvaney of Champaign was born to parents, Thomas Albert and Mary Eva White, on Nov. 21, 1923, in Fairfield, and passed away Nov. 25, 2012, in Champaign.

Eva married Ray Mulvaney in 1944. They had seven children. Eva is survived by five daughters, Eva Ann of Anchorage, Alaska, Janet of Springfield, Barbara of Tucson, Ariz., Marilyn of Smithville, Tenn., and ReEtta of Champaign; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew and one great-great-niece.

Eva was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Rachel Dyson; and three brothers, Francis, Robert and Chester White. Her son, Tom, preceded her in death in 2006 and son, Linden, in 2012.

Eva was employed as a nanny for the Wentling family and enjoyed time spent with Kimmy and TJ. Eva lived in Monticello, had and raised her children there, then moved to Champaign later in life. Eva enjoyed traveling and visited Alaska and Tennessee often. She traveled most of the United States. She loved sewing and was a very talented seamstress.

Eva has a direct and positive influence on many people throughout her life. Eva was very loved and will be missed by those who knew her and will forever be remembered.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Presbyterian Church. 214 S. Charter, Monticello. The Rev Katie Hopper will officiate. Visitation with the family will follow the services.
