MACOMB – Deborah Lynn Auteberry of Macomb, formerly of Champaign, passed away at 1:53 p.m. Friday (Nov. 30, 2012) at Countryview Care Center in Macomb.
Debbie was born August 13, 1953, in Urbana, the daughter of Maurice and Barbara Auteberry. She is survived by one son, Jesse D. Johnson of Champaign; three sisters, Donna Johnson of Clinton, Lori Ray (Joe) of Champaign and Terri Brown (Neil) of Florida; three brothers, Dennis Auteberry (Laura) of Urbana, Rick Auteberry (Jean) of Monticello and Larry Damski (Paul) of Champaign; a sister-in-law, Suzy Auteberry of Monticello; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randy Auteberry of Monticello.
Debbie graduated from Central High School in 1971. She worked for the University of Illinois and the Developmental Services Center. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Champaign.
Debbie enjoyed people. She never met a stranger. She adored being around family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be private. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral home, Macomb, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Developmental Services Center of Champaign or the Champaign Public Library Foundation.
