PAXTON – Raymond A. "Ray" Riggleman, 66, a lifelong Paxton resident, died at 3:53 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 2, 2012) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, with Pastor Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home.
Ray was born April 11, 1946, in Danville, the son of George Dwain and Marcella Cleary Riggleman. He married Sharon Petersen. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Marcella Woodworth of Rantoul; a son, Chad (Nancy) Riggleman of Paxton, a daughter, Nikki (Glen) Foss of Buckley; and two granddaughters and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Ray graduated from Paxton High School in 1965. He worked in the Housekeeping Department of Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, for a number of years before owning and operating his own lawn care service. He was a member of the I&I Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club.
