DANVILLE – David L. White, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday (Dec. 3, 2012) at Presence Health in Danville.
David was a graduate of Jamaica High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy. He led a full and passionate life on his own terms.
He was predeceased by parents, William H. and Marie M. (Carrick) White, Vernon James "Sonny Boy" White, Jerry White and Elizabeth Ann White.
He was married to Ruth Corbin in Indianola. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Michael (Amy) White, his daughter, Alexandra Nicole, and his son, Seth Michael White, of St. Louis; and Matthew Ross (Kim Broyles) White and his son, Eli Ross White, of Whitestown, Ind.
Other survivors include sisters, Wanda (John) Effling of Tilton, Pat (Jim) Willis of Indianola and Colleen (Jack) Knoblett of Indianola; and brothers, Jack (Debbie) White of Indianola and Art (Candy) White of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
Per David's request, his body was donated to science. A service will be held at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Danville, with military rites at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 facilitated by the Rev. Ronald Ziemer.
Fred, his Balinese, will miss most the hours of David's undivided attention and affection.
