THOMASBORO – Father Stanley John Malinowski died Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2012).
He was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Ambridge, Pa. He was the loving son of Andrew and Sophie Malinowski.
Father was ordained a Catholic priest on June 6, 1954. He served his priestly life at St. Hyacinth, La Salle; St. Ann, East Moline, while teaching at Alleman High School; St. Patrick Parish (now Holy Family) in Danville, teaching at Schlarman High School; chaplain at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, while also teaching courses at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Danville; St. Joseph in Colfax and St. Rose in Strawn; St. Malachy in Rantoul; and St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Thomasboro.
Visitation and wake will take place at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Thomasboro from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m.
Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church with viewing of the body from 10 to 10:45 a.m. before the funeral Mass.
Burial will be immediately after the funeral Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rantoul.
