CHRISMAN – Mrs. Meryl Mildred (Witt) Fulton, 101, went home to be with the Lord at her home in Chrisman at 4:20 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 6, 2012).
She was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Hume to Amiel and Mary (Burns) Witt. On Aug. 2, 1929, she married Max Fulton in Redmon. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fulton was a homemaker. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards, crocheting and dancing.
She is survived by her daughters, Norma Martin of Covington, La.; Maxine (Jim) McKnight of Chrisman; one sister, Rosalie Apple of McCordsville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Mary Ann Lee, Rick Martin, Susan Galante, Debbie Porter, Tony Johnson, Tracey Rademacher and Gwen Ross; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Ellen Craig; two sisters, three brothers and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. today (Sunday, Dec. 9) at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with burial at Woodland Cemetery.
