MONTICELLO – Lucille Marie Munster, 95, of Monticello passed away at 1:53 a.m. Monday (Dec. 10, 2012) at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Lucille was born May 8, 1917, in Bement, the daughter of Charles and Rozella (Fuqua) Shipman. She married George Palmer on May 23, 1936, and he passed away on Jan. 8, 1977. She later married Nolan Munster, and he passed away on July 13, 1981.
Surviving are her daughters, Kay (Duane) Gilbreath of Monticello and Dee Ann (Scott) Armsworth of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren, Wendy (Derek) Trimble, Jeff (Nadia) Armsworth and Chris (Kelly) Armsworth; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter (Judy), six sisters and four brothers.
Lucille was a retired waitress and owner/operator of the Monticello Dairy Queen in the '50s and '60s. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello and the Piatt County Historical and Genealogical Society, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
