HARDIN, Mont. – Beverly Diane Mattingly, 64, of Hardin, Mont., formerly of Bement, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, after a brief and unexpected illness, surrounded by members of her family, in Salt Lake City.
Diane was born Aug. 7, 1948, in Monticello, to Emmett and Elfrie Shepherd. She graduated from Bement High School in 1966.
She married Thomas Mattingly on Dec. 10, 1966, and together they had three children. In 1983, the family moved to Montana, which over the years would serve as the base camp for the many adventures and endeavors undertaken by the family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom; her sister, Jeanne (Dave) Doyle; her brother, Brad Shepherd; her children, Chris (Dianne) Mattingly, Adam (Kristen) Mattingly, Megan (Kyle) Mytton; and her most precious and cherished grandchildren, Duncan, Ainsley, Logan, Kyra, Daniel and Katelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Diane's life will follow at a later date after the New Year. We will always love you, wife, mother, sibling, grandmother, friend.
