ARTHUR – Francis "Frank" E. Streible, 77, of Arthur died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 26, 2012) at Mason Point Nursing Home, Sullivan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine St., Arthur, with the Rev. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery with military rites by the Arthur American Legion Post. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.
Frank was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Meade County, Kentucky, the son of Wayne and Hallie Mitchell Streible. He married Joyce Wilhelm in Arthur on Nov. 10, 1961.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Streible of Arthur; son, Leslie, and his children, Gage and Logan of Atwood; daughter, Diana Dinger and husband, Steve, of Mount Pulaski and their son, Mike, and his son, Dusten; sister, Joan Magee of Palestine, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Frank was employed for 31 years at Caterpillar in Decatur, where he was a Final Adjuster. He retired in 1993. He was a member of the Arthur American Legion and a life member of the Arthur Sportsman Club.
Frank served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
