SAVOY – Mary Alice Idleman, 83, of Savoy passed away at 10:50 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 29, 2012) at the Champaign-Urbana Regional Rehab Center, Savoy.
Services will be private.
Mrs. Idleman was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Champaign, a daughter of Earle Robert and Martha Marie (Hillier) Walters.
She married Elmer Lewis Idleman in 1947. She later married Charles W. Cobb.
Mrs. Idleman is survived by two sons, Robert Earle (Olga) Idleman of Champaign; Thomas James Idleman (Deborah) of Woodland Park, Colo.; one brother, E. James (Jo-ann) Walters of Savoy; six grandchildren, Mindy, Bryan, Ursulla, Alexandra, Tyler and Kenny; three great-grandchildren, Delaney, Peyton and Erin; four nieces; one nephew; and her beloved cat, 12-year-old George.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul (Meredith) Idleman; a sister, Joan (James) Essenpreis; and a brother, Robert "Bud" (Dorothy) Walters.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Idleman was employed as an office manager and an accountant.
Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm St., Champaign, is assisting with arrangements.
