GRIDLEY – Loretta A. Bauer, 86, of Gridley, formerly of Cissna Park, passed away on Sunday (Jan. 6, 2013) at her residence.
She was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Cissna Park, a daughter of Ezra and Olive Bucher Feller. She married Kenneth R. Bauer on Oct. 31, 1948, in Cissna Park, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2004.
She is survived by three sons, Rick Bauer of Franklin, Tenn., Jim (Cindy) Bauer of Champaign and Mike (Gail) Bauer of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; one daughter, Marla (Gary) Ringger of Lexington, Ill.; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Don (Judy) Feller of Morton, Todd (Karen) Feller of Kouts, Ind., Mary Ann Feller of Valparaiso, Ind., and Kathy Feller of Cissna Park; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Elna Grimm of Goodfield, Geri (Alvin) Neukomm of Morton, Dona (Roy) Grimm of Quincy and Joan (Fred) Waldbeser of Cissna Park; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lynn and Dale Feller.
Mrs. Bauer owned and operated Loretta's Dress Shop in Cissna Park for 25 years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. She appreciated her church family for many years in Cissna Park and the last 16 months in Gridley. Loretta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her greatest joys were times spent with her family, whom she prayed for by name every night.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday in Gridley.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Apostolic Christian Church in Gridley, with ministers of the church officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Cissna Park.
