MONTICELLO – A celebration of life for Mary Margaret Taylor-Roussos, 87, of Monticello will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Monticello VFW, 108 E. Livingston St., Monticello.
Mary passed away at 11:50 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 10, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Monticello, a daughter of Frank C. and Catherine (Francis) McPheeters. She married Hoyt Taylor. She later married Meletios Roussos on Jan. 16, 1977, in Nevada. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1992.
Mary was employed as a beautician and was a co-owner of an import business, Aeropolis and Hellas Press. She was a resident of Chicago for 40 years and of Monticello for 12 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Morris of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Jenny Maxwell of Champaign; a brother, Sam McPheeters of Monticello; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and two brothers.
