SAVOY – Vincent A. Kojs, 86, of Savoy died at 9:25 p.m. Monday (Jan. 14, 2013) at his home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1303 Lincolnshire Drive, Champaign. Father Robert Rayson will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy.

Vincent was born July 28, 1926, in Chicago, a son of Vincent and Anna Gall Kojs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Frank Kojs, Walter Kojs, Stanley Kojs and Eugene Kojs; and five sisters, Mary Fatla, Stephanie Hendricks, Sophie Kojs, Florence Stryczek and Anna Chmielewski.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Vincent served in the U.S. Army and attended Washburn Trade School, Chicago. He was a linotypist for the Chicago Board of Education for many years.

He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
