DANVILLE – Jill Elizabeth Bublick, 66, of Danville died at 7:06 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 9, 2013) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pape's. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association C/O Provena Foundation, 801 W. Fairchild, Danville, IL 61832. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Jill was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Danville to Harry Albert and Kathryn Ruth (Jacobson) Bublick. She attended Garfield grade school and graduated from Danville High School in 1964. She attended Danville Jr. College, received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb and received her master's degree from Illinois State University at Normal.
Jill had taught primary education at Oakwood and Westville Giacoma grade school for 35 years. She attended First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Westville Education Association, IEA and NEA. She was an avid Illinois basketball Fan. She enjoyed knitting, reading and bowling. She loved spending time with her family and especially her niece and nephew.
Jill is survived by her sister, Linda (Tom) Harrigan; a niece, Shelly (Michael) Simpson; a nephew, Geoffrey (Stephanie) Harrigan; and great-nieces/nephews, Alexandra Simpson, Ashley Simpson and Drew Harrigan.
