TOLONO – James "Jimmy" Seals, 66, of Tolono passed away at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 19, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Freese Funeral Home, 407 N. Bourne, Tolono.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday, Feb. 23, at Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut, Lenoir City, Tenn. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Lenoir City, Tenn.
Mr. Seals was born May 27, 1946, in Lenoir City, Tenn., a son to Herbert and Carolyn Jackson Seals. He married Joanna Pruitt on Oct. 21, 1977, in Urbana. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Carolyn Scott of Lenoir City, Tenn.; three children, Herbert Seals of Palatine, Vincent (Bree) Seals of Sullivan and Sally (Darrell) Stunkard of Lenoir City, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Ann (Donnie) Petty of Chattanooga, Tenn., Linda (James) Wolfenbarger of Lenoir City, Tenn., Betty (Jack) Decker of Cleveland, Tenn., and Faye (Mike) Rice of Lenoir City, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, seven brothers and a sister.
He was employed at ICC/CNN railroad for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tolono and he enjoyed playing golf with two holes-in-one to his credit.
