MANSFIELD – Elaine E. Vance, 75, of Mansfield passed away at 6:48 p.m. Friday (Feb. 22, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Mansfield United Methodist Church, with Pastor Sharon Monroe officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or National Kidney Foundation. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Mansfield, is in charge of arrangements.
Elaine was born Feb. 7, 1938, at Mansfield, a daughter of George and Evelyn Stockwell Welch. She married Dale E. Vance on Aug. 30, 1954 in Cornith, Miss.
She is survived by her husband, Dale E. Vance of Mansfield; son, Mark (Sherri) Vance of Mansfield; two daughters, Melissa (Mike Obertini) Williams of Champaign and Melinda (Darin) Jenkins of Mansfield; grandchildren, Krystal Vance, Ashley Vance, Chelsea Cummins, Brandon Cummins, Dillon Williams, Marissa Williams and Corey Johnson; nine great-grandchildren;
six brothers, Larry (Karen) Welch of Mansfield, Rick (Sandra) Bradbury of Flora, Gary Bradbury, Bruce Bradbury of Dana, Illinois; Brian (Linda) Bradbury of Dana, Ill., and Danny (Jamie) Bradbury of Streator; two sisters, Nancy (Lee) Bidner of Bellflower and Judy Bidner of Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Elaine was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church.
