ATWOOD – William A. Kamm, 105, of Atwood passed away at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2013) at the Arthur Home, Arthur,

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East U.S. Highway 36, Atwood, with the Rev. Michael Drake officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites accorded will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood.

Bill was born Dec. 11, 1907, in Atwood, the son of John Adam and Maude Shonkwiler Kamm. He married Pearl A. Woolverton on Aug. 15, 1928. She preceded him in death on Feb. 29, 2000.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Atwood.

Bill was a retired U.S. Postal Service rural letter carrier. He was a member of the United Church of Atwood, James Reeder American Legion Post No. 770, the Rural Letter Carriers Association, the Arizona Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame, 700 Bowling Club of America and the Association of Aviation Ordnancemen.

Bill served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He enjoyed reading, bowling and spending time with his friends and extended family members.
