FARMER CITY – Tony L. Emmerson, 51, of Farmer City passed away at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday (April 9, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery, rural Farmer City. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Tony Emmerson Memorial Fund in care of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, Farmer City.
Tony was born Aug. 9, 1961, at Bloomington, a son of Norman L. and Ruby K. Priest Emmerson. He married Lidia Navarra. He later married Lisa M. Hodges on Oct. 20, 2012, in DeWitt.
He is survived by wife, Lisa M. Emmerson, of Farmer City;
mother, Ruby Keller of Mansfield; son, Jesse (Anissa) Emmerson of Farmer City; daughter, Joanna Emmerson of LeRoy; stepson, Stephen Hardesty of Farmer City; step-daughter, Tiffany Hodges of Farmer City; grandson, Jesse R. Emmerson; soon-to-be granddaughter; step-grandson, Rylan Hardesty; brother, Terry (Teri) Emmerson of Farmer City; and two sisters, Penny Coit of Mansfield and Peggy Kemplin of Urbana.
He was preceded by father, Norman L. Emmerson; brother, and sister, Pamela Wisegarver.
Tony was a farmer and machine operator.
