PAXTON – Carissa Mae Hinz, 21, of Chicago, formerly of Paxton, died Friday (June 14, 2013) in Bridgeport.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, followed by a graveside service at Glen Cemetery, Paxton, with Rev. Terry L. Westerfield officiating.
Carissa was born July 24, 1991, at Libertyville, the daughter of Michael E. and Sherry Elliott. She attended elementary school in Carey, moved to Paxton in 2002 and graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 2009.
She graduated from the American Academy of Art, Chicago, in 2013 and received a bachelor's degree in graphic design. She was employed by the Bridgeport Coffee House.
Carissa is survived by her parents of Paxton; grandparents, David and Beverly Smith of Richmond, and Florence Elliott of Paxton; and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather and a stepbrother.
